Day 375
Got two fish from Amy at Petsmart, in parking lot, in a downpour! Still trying to figure out what kind they are. These fish went into tank#20 (135gal.) Very healthy fish, thank you again.
The issue of the overflow in the 388gal. was solved today. I asked a question to the forum on http://www.michiganreefers.com/ and all my questions were answered, by the saltwater guys! The drain system I had planned was a disaster waiting to happen( drawing on previous blogs). So I called the guys at http://www.greatlakesaquariums.com/ 586-978-1840, located in Warren,MI. All these guys do in glass, they are building me a overflowbox that stands in the middle of the tank. 16"x6"x 39"tall, out of glass,$40 (this will fit over the two drains in previous picture). I may sand blast this glass so you can't see the plumbing. I will update with pictures as it happens, he said he should be able to build it in the next week.
Tank cleanings are done #11 through #20.

Day 366 continued
Picked up couple big Pacu from Tammy and Mom in Flint off of craigslist, traded for 20gal., filter and heater, very healthy, they got a banged up in the move but should heal. They went from a 75gal. to 380gal! Thanks again girls for the fish. Which leads me to the next picture...
Bought one new bulkhead for 388gal., now that 380gal. is overpopulated with Pacus. I'm in a scramble to set up 388gal. I think I'll buy second bulkhead so they match. Tank will be 1/4th black sand and 3/4ths grey gravel. Also bought 2" pvc for plumbing. That is all.

Day 363
Filter mishap in tank#20. Don't know if line got blocked, flow was restricted. Nitrates skyrocketed, fish loss was a Parrot, and a Black Nasty cichlid. Filter cleaned and water change, vacuumed gravel also. All other fish good. Still making own food. Restart water changes and cleanings, time flies! Tanks#15-#19 cleaned today. Brie and Mom dropping off brackish fish today, thanks! Got my number from Petsmart, post up some pics later this week.

Day 356 continued
Tank#9 sprung a leak, used Arren's tank that I was storing for him. Now have two 55gal. leakers to fix. Fish are good.
Day 356
Creek catfish returned to creek this morning, the aggression in Michigan wild caught fish is crazy. Meanest fish I had a kid was...a bluegill! Divider lifted in tank#10 and one of the Black Nasty cichlids moved to tank#20. Tank #1 will be cleaned today and 25% water only change in 380 gal.

Day 355
Catfish that I got out of my creek is tearing up some of the fish in tank#20, going to put him back in creek tomorrow. The Flowerhorn in tank#9 was switched with Barred Midas in tank#7. I'm started to notice that some fish of the same kind, in the same tank, even if divided cause aggression and passive behavior. This Flowerhorn became almost inactive when others were placed in his tank, of the same kind. The move was good, he does better in tank#7 with Budda and other Barred Midas, divided of course. The Oscar in tank#4 was switched with the Jaguar in tank#3, I felt the Jaguar needed his own tank. I ran out of pellets and forgot to buy some. Put shrimp, peas, egg, flour, and a garlic clove in blender with a little water. Blend till smooth, Pam a cookie sheet, 350* for 30 min., let cool and cut into small cubes. Fish really go for it!

Day 351
Got a call from Jeff, had two iridescent sharks. About 9" wanted me to take them off his hands, got my number from pet smart. Very healthy fish, 380gal. was to crowded for them. They went into 135gal. tank#20, second picture, fuzzy, but these are their new tank mates. Thanks Jeff and son for the fish, come by when you can.

Monday started the voting of "Trick your Tank" contest, go to Wardley Facebook page, like it, and click on photos and like my photo of 388 gal.! Thanks...the one on the trailer with my truck seems to be getting some votes.

Day 343
Tank#2
...found camera.
Tank#7
Tank#8
Tank#9
Tank#10
Tank#14
Alot of dreamers on craigslist, no takers on the Oscars. No big deal, didn't really want to get rid of them anyway. Cleaned tanks #2,#7,#8,#9, and #10 today,#14 a few days ago, pics to come, can't find camera. Put heater in tank#2 and after cleaning transferred old Flowerhorn from tank#4, lifted divider in tank#4. Found dead Bala Shark in tropicals tank#5. Tank #20 had 300w heater malfunction, heat up to 85* and blazing in tank. Looks like Pacu chewed top of heater off, stuck on high. Unplugged it, put new heater in.

Day 340
Put an ad on craigslist to lighten my Oscar load...11 and counting! Got a couple bites today, see if there is any follow up. Tank#10 had eggs on the back wall and a dead electric yellow. Watched the tank for a while the two Black Nasty cichlids chased every fish in the tank, dropped a divider in to ease the aggression. All other tanks are good!
