Tanks cleaned, #3-#11. Jon is going to buy 3 Jack Dempsey's and 2 Red Devils this week, and more tanks and filters. Going to clean tanks #1 and #2 today.

I've been told fish in last picture are Black-Banded Leporinus...thanks Rob. These fish can grow to 8".

Day 375

Got two fish from Amy at Petsmart, in parking lot, in a downpour! Still trying to figure out what kind they are. These fish went into tank#20 (135gal.) Very healthy fish, thank you again.

The issue of the overflow in the 388gal. was solved today. I asked a question to the forum on http://www.michiganreefers.com/ and all my questions were answered, by the saltwater guys! The drain system I had planned was a disaster waiting to happen( drawing on previous blogs). So I called the guys at http://www.greatlakesaquariums.com/ 586-978-1840, located in  Warren,MI. All these guys do in glass, they are building me a overflowbox that stands in the middle of the tank. 16"x6"x 39"tall, out of glass,$40 (this will fit over the two drains in previous picture). I may sand blast this glass so you can't see the plumbing. I will update with pictures as it happens, he said he should be able to build it in the next week.

Tank cleanings are done #11 through #20.

Day 366 continued

Picked up couple big Pacu from Tammy and Mom in Flint off of craigslist, traded for 20gal., filter and heater, very healthy, they got a banged up in the move but should heal. They went from a 75gal. to 380gal! Thanks again girls for the fish. Which leads me to the next picture...

Bought one new bulkhead for 388gal., now that 380gal. is overpopulated with Pacus. I'm in a scramble to set up 388gal. I think I'll buy second bulkhead so they match. Tank will be 1/4th black sand and 3/4ths grey gravel. Also bought 2" pvc for plumbing. That is all.
