Hand fed Arowana and Oscar last night, they ate octopus and fish pieces, two each. Picked up albino algea eater from Jennifer, who works at nursing home. Algae eater didn't get along with others in tank at nursing home, had residents upset. Thanks for the fish Jennifer, very healthy. He went in to tank#14, great addition. If your tank does't clear at nursing home call me and I'll help you out. Thanks again.

Largest of the Black Nasty fry was attacked last night in 135gal., died of his injuries.R.I.P. Only one Black Nasty cichlid left. Acrylic tank#22, set up 4 hours ago, still good. No problems. I may ask Jimmy to let me use filter or take filter media from his tank, for a smooth transition, and easy transfer of fish. Pick up fish 10:30am tomorrow. pH 7.1 after 5 hours, thats good. 7.3 after 8 hours, and holding. Added bioballs from filter of 380gal.

Day 376 & 378
Finished! Temporary home for Jimmy"s fish, pick up tomorrow.
Day 378, more building.
Still getting fish from Jimmy, 388gal. might not be ready in time. 380gal.(tank#11) is to overstocked. My backup plan is to set up 150gal.(tank#22), it's 84"x24"x18", acrylic. No stand, so I'm going to build one. This is temporary, until 388gal. is finished. This gives me a chance to get water conditions just right. I will post more pictures as I build.

Day 374
Twenty five percent water changes only in tanks#7 and #8, #11 and #20. This was done 10 days ago. My buddy Jimmy can't get rid of four of his fish, going to try and finish 388gal. for these fish. Arowana, RTC,Clown Knife, and an Oscar. These were originally housed with my two largest Pacu, that I got from Jimmy. Arowana makes me nervous, hard to move. They don't accommodate well to moves, very water sensitive to pH and water hardness and temp. Testing my water now, will test Jimmy's water before move. I will update with pictures when it goes down!

Day 369
There is a metal frame hexagon tank near my house, at Dort mall in Flint,Mi. This tank is approx. 300 gallons, it houses a 3ft. Pacu. I stop by whenever I'm in the area.
Tank#6 was shut down days ago, it is a tall 55gal. I swapped it in place of tank#4, which was a short 45gal.
Worked on the plumbing of 388gal., return line is done and hooked to pump. Drain line is half way back to tank, waiting on run-off tower and two bulkheads. I will post pictures later.
Tuesday, September 13, 2011
Day 367
Shut down tank#6 today, two Oscars and Black Nasty cichlid went into tank#20. Red devil/jaguar went into tank#17 from tank#20, too much aggression towards Black Nasty. Arranged all my extra pvc, going to use some to run drain/return lines to 388gal. Still waiting for center runoff drain to be built for 388gal.
